Docks & Boat Lifts for the Thousand Islands and Kingston Waterfront
Island views come with big water. Your dock should be ready for it.
Where Lake Ontario empties into the St. Lawrence, a thousand granite hilltops poke above the water. Owning a piece of that shoreline, in Gananoque, on Wolfe or Howe Island, or along the Kingston waterfront, means freighters on the horizon and some of the best sunsets in Ontario.
It also means a dock that works harder than most. We build for that by planning around four forces you will not find on a sheltered inland bay.

Four Forces Your Dock Has to Handle
1. Wind and waves. Open stretches of water let wind build real waves. Layout is your first defence. Wave Armor docks are modular, so sections can form an L or T that breaks the waves and gives your boat a calmer side.
2. Wakes in the channels. The Thousand Islands see steady summer traffic, from runabouts to large cruisers and tour boats. Getting the boat out of the water is the simplest protection. Paradise hydraulic lifts handle up to 13,000 lbs for bigger boats, and an overcentre lock holds them in the raised position.
3. Current and ice. The St. Lawrence is a river, and moving water pushes on a dock every day. Anchoring has to be planned for your current, your depth and the way ice moves past your shore in winter.
4. Water levels you do not control. Lake Ontario and the upper St. Lawrence are regulated under Plan 2014, which sets outflows through the Moses-Saunders Dam near Cornwall. Even so, record water in 2017 and 2019 did major shoreline damage, because no outflow plan can stop extreme weather. Floating docks ride those swings instead of disappearing under them.
What Our Customers Say
"The dock didn't move an inch."

Big-Water Questions
Will a floating dock stay put in the current?
It will when the anchoring is designed for your site. That is the part of a St. Lawrence install we spend the most time on.
Can I keep a PWC or small boat out of the wakes without a full lift?
Yes. Wave Armor drive-on ports float beside your dock, and you simply drive on and roll off.
